An exquisite antique Victorian mourning brooch. This stunning brooch was likely once part of a pair of earrings. The base of the brooch is onyx, on which is a beautiful bunch of seed pearls,  figured as grapes, with a gold plated surround. While grape seed pearl jewelry can be found, amongst Victorian jewelry,  quality and craftsmanship of this kind is seldom common. With perfectly poised pearls, this will make a wonderful addition to any collection. Good condition, wear consistent with age.
